【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofvolatilesulfur-containingcompoundsinlightpetroleumliquids.Thistestmethodisapplicabletodistillates,gasolinemotorfuels(includingthosecontainingoxygenates)andotherpetroleumliquidswithafinalboilingpointofapproximately230?C(450?F)orloweratatmosphericpressure.Theapplicableconcentrationrangewillvarytosomeextentdependingonthenatureofthesampleandtheinstrumentationused;however,inmostcases,thetestmethodisapplicabletothedeterminationofindividualsulfurspeciesatlevelsof0.1to100mg/kg.Thetestmethoddoesnotpurporttoidentifyallindividualsulfurcomponents.Detectorresponsetosulfurislinearandessentiallyequimolarforallsulfurcompoundswithinthescope(1.1)ofthistestmethod;thusbothunidentifiedandknownindividualcompoundsaredetermined.However,manysulfurcompounds,forexample,hydrogensulfideandmercaptans,arereactiveandtheirconcentrationinsamplesmaychangeduringsamplingandanalysis.Coincidently,thetotalsulfurcontentofsamplesisestimatedfromthesumoftheindividualcompoundsdetermined;however,thistestmethodisnotthepreferredmethodfordeterminationoftotalsulfur.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
